HOW TO BOOK

Frequently Asked Questions

"What do I need to do to book?"

In order to book, you need to confirm a date with the retreat coordinator and then return your booking agreement with the deposit.

"What are the rooms like?"

Our rooms are basic hotel-style rooms. Most rooms have 2 double beds, a pullout couch, and a private bath. During certain periods of the year bunk beds are added to most of the rooms (to accommodate our youth retreats). There are no TV's, fridges, or alarm clocks. We do have adjoining rooms and wheelchair accessible rooms.

"How many meeting rooms are available?"

We generally have 6 separate meeting rooms, however, when necessary we can make up to 9 meeting rooms.

"When are the Hub and Bookstore open?"

If your group is the only group staying at M.B.C., you can have input into the Hub and Bookstore hours. The usual Hub times are Friday evening from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Saturday from 2:00 to 4:30 and from 8:00 to 10:00 pm. The Hub is not open on Sunday or during chapel sessions. The Bookstore is open Saturday 9 am - 5 pm and for one hour following the morning session on Sunday. If there is a special topic your group is covering, the Bookstore can order books in for your group... just ask! We can do just about anything!

"Can we bring or cook our own food?"

There is absolutely no cooking in any of our accommodations. If your group has special food needs, please make that known to the Retreat Coordinator at least 1 month prior to your retreat start date. Our chefs are great at preparing specialty meals, however it is best for all if this kind of situation can be avoided. If someone in your group has special food needs (i.e. diabetic or vegetarian), our chefs are happy to accommodate. Just let us know before you arrive and we will be better prepared for your group. We also require that guests refrain from bringing their own snacks into our facilities.

"What happens when we check in?"

Your group members must go to the main office to check in. There they will receive their room assignment. They will be asked for a $5.00 key deposit. They will also receive a map of the grounds. This is the best spot for you to greet your group members and hand out programs or other information. Upon your request, a 8' table can be set up at that location for you to use as a greeting table.

"What recreational activities are available?"

Depending upon which season you come to M.B.C., there is always a host of activities available! Ask the Retreat Coordinator about which of the following are available:
